Hawass gives lectures about ancient Egypt in U.S.

In Hawass’ reception in Los Angeles, a number of artists and officials welcomed him, such as ambassador Lamia Mekhemar, ُKhaled El Nabawi, Mahmoud Kabeil, and Jennifer Massey.
Cairo - The famous Egyptian Archeologist Zahi Hawass finalized his U.S. tour. He talked about ancient Egyptian history on Friday. 


Hawass lectured in a number of American universities and cultural events about the secrets and treasures of the Ancient Egyptian civilization. He aimed to promote Egyptian tourism. 


The Pacific Union Club in San Francisco was one of the last stations of Hawaas’ lectures. He discussed the uncovered treasures of the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. 


He also added that there are a number of undiscovered tombs for famous kings and queens like Mentuhotep I, Thutmose III. 


Hawass also pointed that most of the 18th dynasty were buried in that valley. 


There is an Italian mission from the University of Torino exploring the site, according to Hawaas. 


Regarding the latest search of the Great Pyramids of Giza, Hawaas revealed that the Japanese-Italian mission will present the results of the search on September 9. 


The results will also be directed to the Minister of Antiques Khaled Anani. 


The lecture was attended by a number of the leading American doctors, politicians and artists. 


He finalized his tour by lecturing at Doug Mockett Company, Los Angeles. The staff of the company expressed their happiness and passion towards knowing more about the Ancient Egyptian civilization. 


The lecture was followed by a book signing session.
