Egypt FDI rises by 12.1% to around $11 bln

Cairo - Foreign direct investment in Egypt rose by 12.1 percent in the first nine months of the 2016-17 fiscal year ending in June and its current account deficit narrowed by 37.7 percent in the third quarter, the central bank said on Wednesday, as reported by Reuters.
Foreign Direct Investment in Egypt increased by 3981 USD Million in the fourth quarter of 2016. Foreign Direct Investment in Egypt averaged 2385.63 USD Million from 2002 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 5572.50 USD Million in the fourth quarter of 2007 and a record low of 40.70 USD Million in the second quarter of 2002, as reported by Trading economics.
